'Time Lapse 27 (303)' is a high-resolution print from the time lapse video work 'Symbiosis' exhibited as part of the exhibition 'Earth is Calling' at the Crypt Gallery. The 27 of the title refers to the time lapse sequence used and (303) is the frame number.
The time-lapse work followed on from my ephemeral site-specific ice installation in the Canal Museum's Victorian Ice Wells (King's Cross) in 2013. These later works were created under more controlled conditions and extended time periods.
The sequence from which the image taken, was created with lights, melinex and ice - interdependent man-made and natural materials in a dialogue with light.
